COACHES INFORMATION

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are fortunate to have many qualified and exemplary coaches in our club. Thank you for your time and commitment!

As representatives of Idaho Storm Soccer, coaches should conduct themselves in a way that honors the organization. Conduct that demeans, degrades, or harmful to any player, club member, or referee is not tolerated.

Coaches are responsible for training and developing players in a manner consistent with Idaho Storm guidelines. All coaches work under the appointment of the Director of Coaching and train under the expertise of our Technical Director.

Coaches are committed their role for both Fall & Spring season, unless other arrangements have been made. They agree to be available for regularly scheduled trainings, practices and games.

We encourage all coaches to work with a Team Manager to facilitate team communication and organization.

COACH REQUIREMENTS

Per IYSA guidelines, all head coaches and assistant coaches are required to complete a background check and SafeSport certification PRIOR to coaching any players in the organization. This mandatory training can be completed through your GotSport account.

COACH EQUIPMENT

All coaches are provided with the same base equipment. These items are owned by the club and must be returned at the end of each Spring season. Coaching equipment kit includes but is not limited to: balls, scrimmage vests, cones, goalkeeper jerseys, net, & corner flags.

Club equipment is inventory is conducted once a year following tryouts. ALL equipment must be turned in at this time for assessment. This allows us to replace necessary items prior to the start of Fall season. Once inventory is complete and equipment kits are restocked they will be available for pickup.

Additional equipment items are available for check out on a first-come basis. These items include training poles, pop-up goals, passing arcs, agility ladder, and team bench shelters.

If you would like to request the purchase of a specific item, please fill out the purchase request form linked below. All requests will be reviewed, prioritized, and filled based on budget constraints.

Likewise if you notice significant wear on your coaching gear or on any club equipment (nets, goal frames, etc), please submit a purchase request to request a replacement.
