FAQs

When are practices and games?

Practices

Training will be weekly on Mondays from 5-6p and will take place at Jabil Soccer Fields (915 E Central Dr, Meridian, ID 83642). All training will be under the direction of our competitive Director of Coaching, Brandon Zimmerman.

Training dates for the Spring 2025 season will begin on April 7th and ending on May 12th.

Games

Games will be Friday evenings at Jabil Soccer Fields (915 E Central Dr, Meridian, ID 83642). These games emphasize what we are learning and are created to give maximum playing time for every player.

Games for the Spring 2025 season will begin April 11 and ending May 16.

What is the uniform? And how do I get one?
All players will receive a Storm Chasers shirt as part of their registration fee. We request you wear this to all Monday practices and Friday games.

Players may wear any shorts or socks of their choice.

What does my child need to play?
Players should have their own cleats and shin guards. They should also bring a labelled size 4 soccer ball and water bottle.
Who will train and coach the players?
All Monday trainings will be coached and run by Idaho Storm staff. This may include past/present competitive coaches, players, or other qualified volunteers. Idaho Storm Director of Coaching, Brandon Zimmerman, will oversee all staff and player training. Parent volunteers are welcome.

For Friday games, we hope to create teams, this is based on registration numbers and skill level. TEAMS may need to change, the kids do not benefit from mismatched teams. We will ask for the assistance of a parent Volunteers for every 6-8 players to assist with coaching and game management. Never coached before? Or don’t know much about soccer? THAT’S OK. The only requested skills are a willingness to help and generous high-fives.

How can I help?
We’re so glad you asked!

Idaho Storm Soccer Club believes in providing youth a high-quality playing experience at an affordable price. A crucial part to accomplishing this is through volunteers. All participant parents or guardians are requested to volunteer in some capacity during the season.

Please consider volunteering as a game day coach for your child’s team. Never coached before? Or don’t know much about soccer? THAT’S OK. Trainings will be handled by the Idaho Storm staff, but volunteers are welcome. We are in need of coaching help on game days to keep play running smoothly. The only requested skills are a willingness to help and generous high-fives.

Please indicate on the registration form if you are able to help with any of the following roles: coaching, field setup, snack coordination, game management, etc. Or grab a staff member on the field and ask how to help!
